Growing up Maiara was always in plays, really started pursuing a career in acting when she was 14. It took three auditions before landing the part of Ana on Desperate Housewives. Previously, Maiara was in the INDIE teen comedy ‘The Pranksters’. Outside of acting, Maiara digs science, psychology, astronomy and reading. A Harry Potter fanatic who has read all of the books.

Now she’s stars in the HBO vampire series, True Blood. Carrie started doing plays when she was 8-years-old and continued to study it in school; going to college for it and then grad school. She’s a woman who always new what she wanted to do with her life. On True Blood, Carrie plays Arlene Fowler, a friend of the main character, who works at the local bar and grill where some of the action takes place. She has two kids and is looking for her fourth husband. Her character has lots of the spice and humor and her comedy strengths shine.
