• It’s good for your health to keep your spouse happy. According to findings from Brigham Young University, a happy marriage lowers blood pressure, but a stressful one does just the opposite.

• Just three 20-minute sessions of low-intensity aerobic exercise per week can increase energy levels by 20 percent, says a study of previously sedentary adults who complained of fatigue.

• Soaking potatoes in water for 30 minutes to two hours before frying can reduce the formation of acrylamide (a potential carcinogen) by 38-48 percent. Just washing them lowers levels by 23 percent.
