EcoStiletto: Matt Damon Takes A Potty Break

Matt Damon celebrates World Toilet Day with a potty break.

Matt Damon went on a potty break to raise awareness for, which has delivered clean water to more than one million people since 2009 and is working on delivering for 780 million who still don’t have it.

Obviously, a press conference in which attending reporters include Lamorne Morris of “New Girl” has got to be a spoof. Especially when it opens with the actor asking the audience what they did to celebrate World Toilet Day and concludes with him vlogging with YouTube’s shaycarl.

But the cause is anything but. More than 3.4 million people die each year from illnesses related to a lack of water and sanitation, and 99% of these deaths take place in the developing world. Approximately one in nine people — roughly 780 million — lack access to clean water.

And $25 donation can bring clean water to one person for life.

That’s no joke. But this video did make us chuckle.
