  • See the tea If you rely on your green tea skin cream as your only antioxidant, look for one with a beige color. Because green tea’s polyphenols darken the cream, the color signals the high or low dose of the ingredient.

  • Spot check Prevent hyper pigmentation by always wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen (one with both UVA and UVB protection. UVA rays, which cause spots and skin discoloration, are the same strength year-round.

  • Smart spring Can’t stand facial waxing kits? Try the R.E.M Spring ($24). It uses tiny coils to pull out hairs gently. Bend it into a U shape and use on chin, cheeks and upper lips. This tool is not to be used on individual eyebrow hairs.

  • Back it up When applying hair dye, start at the back and work your way forward. The hair closer to your hairline is finer so they absorb color faster and should be dyed last.

You must remember, you could experience complications during treatments such as laser hair removal, chemical peels or even Botox, so be sure there’s an M.D. in the room.

  • It’s a match To even out the shade difference of your body you need to choose the right foundation shade. Find a base that matches the color of your chest to use on your face to even out the coloring so your face doesn’t appear as a pale circle floating above your chest.
